Leadership Expedition Series

Jeff and the MountainVision staff are now collaborating with Dr Bruce Jackson, Director of The Center for the Advancement of Leadership to developed a unique spin on traditional adventure travel and international mountaineering expeditions. Several trips per year will gather a group of some of the most adventurous and entrepreneurial executives in the world and embark on a multi-dimensional adventure.

Jeff and Bruce collaborate to bring clients 15 years of management consulting experience working with some of the most talented entrepreneurs in the country. While we are traveling to remote locations around the globe and pushing ourselves up to the high places, Jeff and Bruce use the outdoors as a metaphor for understanding the essence of authentic leadership and teamwork.  We will be sharing the extraordinary symbolic messages and themes we have learned about life and leadership in our many adventures mountaineering the world over.

THE GOAL:                                                                                                                                                   To provide a series of events taking place over 3 month period. These events will include a series of multi-faceted teamwork and leadership speeches, trainings and activities. These events will culminate in an Executive Leadership Expedition to a remote location with daily dispatches back to your company's headquarters.

In brief the chief objectives of this program include:

  • To engage your organization and its employees in setting a new standard of performance and commitment.
  • To provide trainings, speeches, and adventure learning as a methodology for enhancing the your company's culture and building a climate for high performance.
  • To transfer key learning objectives back on the job and in every-day life.
  • To set a new standard of excellence within the organization.

COMPETITIVE REALITY:                                                                                                                       In a global economy, it is not enough to learn the technical skills of work. While technical skills are important, one must be vigilant in developing the personal and interpersonal leadership skills that sets one apart as an organization. In essence, organizations need to develop cultures of high performance and a commitment to personal and professional excellence.

In addition to world-class messages and courses, the outdoors provides a unique opportunity to transfer critical “classroom” training, into embedded experiences—using the outdoors to solidify core learning objectives and to utilize these skills in “real time.”

Participating in the “The MountainVision Expedition Series” provides a unique context for important lessons for leadership and for life.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:                                                                                                                     The following structure will provide a powerful blend of message, training and experience, embedding core personal and leadership principles that will have “staying power” within the organization. The following structure includes:

NEXT STEPS:

The MountainVision Expedition Series” has been designed to offer world-class leadership training and facilitation within the context of high adventure. The program components offered, including speeches, trainings and experiential education and high adventure, provide a unique format for developing an individual, team, and organizational high performance culture. Even more important will be the transformation people make in their personal lives through the proposed experiences.

This multi-method approach will provide both the technical skills for leadership as well as opportunities to apply this knowledge in real-world adventures—giving each participant new skills for achieving success both in and out of the office.

Whether you are an established CEO/Executive, or involved as a leader within any organizational setting, you can be sure that the “The MountainVision Expedition Series” will be tailored to meet the unique needs of your company.

Through this journey our goal is to bring powerful, memorable experiences to everyone within each organization. This will be a journey that everyone within the company will take and draw on for years to come, both at work and at home.

This experience is not for everyone. Only a very select group will qualify: successful leaders and thinkers with high values, a commitment to learn and change, a team-first attitude, and a willingness to share of themselves. Your climbing experience will be dictated by the expedition you choose to join. Most however, just require a serious sense of adventure.
